About the Event
All Church
Recognizing that the people of Grace have differing opinions about current affairs and many dilemmas facing us and the world around us, we know this is a disturbing time in our country, the world, often in our families, and our own hearts. Through conversations we have had, we personally care about the anxiety, fear, and grief carried by members of the congregation. In response to this, we will be offering a quiet hour every Wednesday at noon, in February, in the sanctuary for anyone to meditate and pray. The front doors of the sanctuary and elevator will be unlocked. Candles will be lit and some printed prayers will be available for personal use. One of your pastors will also be available for conversation should that be helpful. Your pastors are also available should you desire conversation beyond this quiet hour on Wednesdays, please schedule that with them.
Let us pray: Eternal God, amid all the turmoil and changes of the world your love is steadfast and your strength never fails. In this time of danger and trouble, be to us a sure guardian and rock of defense. Guide the leaders of our nation with your wisdom, comfort those in distress, and grant us courage and hope to face the future; through Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord. Amen.
